Our technologies

Drupal, Next.js, Symfony: the right technologies, in the right place.

A short, open source stack mastered by the whole team. We choose each building block for what it brings to your platform, not for how it looks on a slide.

Our stance

Few technologies, mastered in depth.

We are not an "any technology" agency. We chose Drupal for content and business ecosystems, Next.js, React and Node.js for experience and services, Symfony for applications and data hubs, Python for our agentic tooling, and we have practised them for years on demanding platforms. That is what lets us write referentials of more than one hundred and seventy rules, train our consultants at the Neovia Academy and guarantee the same quality from one project to the next.

Around these platforms, a proven operations base: specialised cloud hosting, search, caching, error and availability monitoring, continuous integration. Each building block is chosen for a real need, and replaced when a better answer exists.

Platforms

Our platforms of choice.

Drupal

Drupal 11

The CMS for editorial and business platforms: structured content, validation workflows, multilingual, fine-grained rights, API-first. Our speciality since the agency began, from corporate sites to site factories.

Next.js

Next.js

The experience layer: server-rendered front ends, fast and search-engine optimised, consuming Drupal content and business data. The framework behind this website.

React

React

Rich, interactive interfaces: configurators, business tools, dashboards, internal applications. A competence centre built since 2020.

Node.js

The runtime behind our Next.js front ends and our services: APIs, integrations, automation and build tooling. One JavaScript chain, from browser to server.

Symfony

The PHP framework for custom applications and data hubs: business processing, APIs, synchronisation with your information system.

Python

The language of our agentic tooling: AI agents, data pipelines, connectors to models and to your sources. The reference ecosystem for everything AI.

Our technical stack

The building blocks that run your platforms.

Search

Solr and Elasticsearch for faceted search, relevance and document indexing, up to federated search across sites.

Caching and performance

Redis for application caching and queues, Varnish and CDN for HTTP caching: pages served fast, even under load.

Data

MariaDB and MySQL for Drupal platforms, PostgreSQL for applications and agentic tooling, MongoDB when document data calls for it.

Hosting

Platform.sh and Upsun for Drupal and Symfony platforms, Vercel for Next.js front ends: environments per branch, reproducible deployments, backups.

Production monitoring

Application error, availability and performance monitoring, Core Web Vitals measurement: what happens in production is seen before it is reported.

Development tooling

Composer, ddev and Git, continuous integration on GitHub Actions, automated checks (quality, accessibility, performance) before every release.

Our criteria

What we expect from a technology.

Open source, governed and sustainable

An active community, written governance, a security team that filters contributions: on a multi-year commitment, vendor risk matters as much as features.

Modular and API-first

Each component does one thing and exposes it through open standards: content can feed a site, an app, an intranet, an agent, without rebuilding everything.

Observable and operable over time

A technology we cannot monitor, update and secure does not enter our platforms. Maintenance is part of the choice.

Mastered by the whole team

Our referentials, code review and Academy cover every building block we put into production. No technology carried by a single person.

Artificial intelligence

The model is a choice, not a dependency.

Our AI agents are built to switch models without being rewritten: the best models on the market when they provide the answer, self-hosted open models when your data requires it.

Frontier models

Claude and the leading models on the market, accessed through a single gateway that lets us compare and replace them.

Hugging Face

Open models

Models published on Hugging Face, served by Ollama on infrastructure you control, when data confidentiality demands it.

Ollama

A gateway under control

A single, self-hosted access point to the models, which logs usage and keeps your data separate from providers.

Frequently asked questions

Our technologies: your questions.

Why Drupal rather than another CMS?

For platforms with a content model to structure, workflows, several languages, fine-grained rights and integrations with the information system, Drupal remains the most complete open source CMS, with governance and a security team that condition module support. For a site of a few pages without those needs, we say so: Drupal is oversized.

Drupal alone, or Drupal and Next.js?

For a mostly editorial site, Drupal alone is often the simplest and most economical choice. Decoupling with Next.js makes sense when experience, multi-site, applications or business data integration become central. We decide during scoping, and a well-designed Drupal core allows decoupling later.

Do you work with WordPress?

No. We focus our referentials, tooling and monitoring on Drupal, Next.js, Node.js, Symfony and Python: that is what lets us guarantee our level of quality. We do, however, know how to migrate a WordPress site to Drupal, content and search rankings included.

Where are our platforms hosted?

On specialised cloud platforms, Platform.sh and Upsun for Drupal and Symfony, Vercel for Next.js front ends; Drupal platforms are hosted in European regions. You remain the owner of your accounts and data; we can also deploy on your own infrastructure.

Can you take over a platform built elsewhere?

Yes, if it runs on our technologies. The takeover starts with a technical audit and report, then with securing what needs it first. For a platform on another technology, we propose a migration path rather than maintenance we could not guarantee.

Which versions do you use?

Maintained versions: Drupal 11 for new platforms, with Drupal 10 platforms upgraded before their support ends on 9 December 2026; current versions of Next.js, React and Symfony, Node.js on an LTS release. Updates are part of our maintenance.
